2026 National Invites

The 2026 SUBARU Australian Championships entry portal will open 20 August, with further updates on Cross Country on Monday 24 August

School Coordinators will receive the entry portal link to distribute to qualified competitors.

All invited competitors must complete an entry for the 2026 Australian Interschools Championships. Inclusion on the invitation list does not constitute an entry; it is confirmation that the competitor has qualified to participate.

Parents and carers should contact their school coordinator to confirm their entry and obtain the State Entry Portal link.

Additional Invites

The Northern Interschools Snowsport Advisory Group (NISAG) may extend additional invitations at its discretion where appropriate.

When considering additional invitations, priority will be given to competitors and teams who have demonstrated performance at Regional Championships as determined by NISAG.

As a guide, additional invitations are not extended in the following circumstances:

  • Competitors who were unable to attend Regional Championships due to injury, participation in another sporting commitment, or family holidays and has previously demonstrated a competitive time.
  • Competitors who have already qualified to compete at the State Championships in another discipline.
  • Individual competitors who placed outside the top 20 individuals and top 5 teams at Regional Championships.
All decisions relating to additional invitations are at the sole discretion of NISAG. Decisions are final and are made to ensure the integrity, fairness, and efficient operation of the Northern Interschools Snowsport Championships.

Please note that all enquires on State Invites must come from the school coordinator and they will be responded to following ACT Southern-NSW Champs.

Further Information on how invites are determined can be found in the Rules of Competition

NSW Invites

QLD Invites

1.16 The NSW/ACT/QLD/SA State Championships will continue to include qualification invites to ACT, QLD and SA Competitors. Participation in the NSW/ACT/QLD/SA State Championships from ACT, QLD and SA schools will remain optional in Alpine GS, Ski Cross, Snowboard GS, and Snowboard Cross. In these four disciplines, ACT, QLD, and SA schools will receive a national invite along with a state invite from their results at the Regional Championships. ACT, QLD and SA schools can choose to enter both or either Championships. In the Disciplines of Cross Country, Slopestyle and Moguls, ACT, QLD, and SA competitors must attend the NSW/ACT/QLD/SA State Championships to qualify for National Event selection. (See section 7 for more information on event qualification.)

ACT Invites

7.6 From the ACT & Southern NSW Championship, subject to confirmed competitive times/scores, ACT competitors who place as the top 3 ACT teams for (Alpine, Ski Cross, Snowboard GS, Snowboard Cross), along with the top 8 placed ACT individuals, from all divisions and disciplines, may be eligible to compete in both the NSW/ACT/QLD/SA State Championship and the Australian Interschools Championship (subject to Interschools analysis). For Moguls and Slopestyle, schools may only form teams using individual competitors who have qualified through State Championships for the Australian Interschools Snowsports Championships. PLEASE NOTE that this Championship is recognised as the ACT STATE Championship, and the pathway for ACT participants to qualify for the Australian Championships.

Moguls Invites

7.13 For moguls competitors qualifying for the 2026 Australian Interschools Snowsports Championships, the top 20 individuals and top 6 teams who reach a minimum acceptable score (for Championship progression) will be determined by the Interschools Committee following completion of each event, and before invitations are extended to the next level of competition. Historically this has been a score which is a minimum 40% of the total attainable score (24/60) and is often as high as 50% of the total attainable score (30/60). The minimum progression score determined reflects the level of the Championships (Regional or State), the division level, the course conditions, and the quality of the competitor field. Mogul Team members (all individual members) progressing through to the next level of competition must have competed in the 2026 NSW/ACT/QLD State Moguls Competition, have at least 1 original team member and meet the minimum standard. No additional individual competitors can be added to create teams.
