Additional Event Information: Primary & Secondary Schools Team Cup Championship Trophies

Over the past two years, we have endeavoured to build overall school participation levels through the School Teams approach which underpinned the Australian Secondary Schools Snowsports Team Championships (ASSSTC), and a differing School Teams approach adopted by both NSW & VIC Interschools. 

In 2024, the Falls Creek Schools Carnival adopted the original Australian Secondary Schools Snowsports Team Championships (ASSSTC) approach in determining the winners of the Secondary Schools Team Trophies. There were no equivalent Primary Schools Team Trophies.

In 2025, the Falls Creek Schools Carnival adopted the NSW & VIC Interschools Team Championships approach in determining the winners of the Secondary Schools Team Trophies. There were no equivalent Primary Schools Team Trophies.

For 2026, we have introduced Primary Schools Team Trophies, in addition to Secondary Schools Team Trophies. The overall objective of this revised direction is to:

·         Broaden the competition participation base, with competition accessibility for all Primary and Secondary schools of all sizes, from small to larger schools.

·         Streamline the competition format to make it easier for both new and returning schools to participate and stay engaged as the competition week progresses across multiple disciplines.

·         Align more closely with the Interschools results criteria, but with the objective to maintain a critical school Team focus that encourages participants of all abilities to be involved.

In 2026, the following Falls Creek School Team Cup Trophies will be awarded:

Primary:

1.      Primary Alpine Champion School - combines Alpine GS, Ski Cross & Moguls Team results.

2.      Primary Snowboard Champion School – combines Snowboard GS & Snowboard Cross Team results.

3.      Primary Cross Country Champion School – combines Cross Country Classic & Cross Country Relay Team results.

4.      Primary Female Champion School – combines all Female Team results across all Disciplines and all school types.

5.      Primary Male Champion School – combines all Male Team results across all Disciplines and all school types.

6.      Primary Overall Champion School – combines all school Team results across all Disciplines, Genders, and School Types.

Secondary:

1.      Secondary Alpine Champion School - combines Alpine GS, Ski Cross & Moguls Team results.

2.      Secondary Snowboard Champion School – combines Snowboard GS & Snowboard Cross Team results.

3.      Secondary Cross Country Champion School – combines Cross Country Classic & Cross Country Relay Team results.

4.      Secondary Female Champion School – combines all Female Team results across all Disciplines and all school types.

5.      Secondary Male Champion School – combines all Male Team results across all Disciplines and all school types.

6.      Secondary Overall Champion School – combines all school Team results across all Disciplines, Genders, and School Types.
