The Interschools Event Management Team and Thredbo have worked closely to minimise changes to the published Event Schedule while making the best use of the available snow and operating conditions.

At this stage, the Interschools Event Management Team and Thredbo do not anticipate any changes to the Alpine, Snowboard GS or Mogul Qualifier events and will make every effort to deliver these as scheduled.

The Ski Cross and Snowboard Cross events have been rescheduled to allow sufficient time for safe course construction. Delivery of these events are provisional and remain subject to snowmaking capacity and natural snowfall. Thredbo will continue to monitor conditions and will review the status of the courses on Sunday evening. If any changes to the schedule are required, an update will be communicated by Monday morning.

Presentation times will be available closer to the event.

Snow Australia Interschools and Thredbo continue to work closely together to deliver a safe, enjoyable and high-quality event despite the unprecedented start to the Australian snow season. We recognise this has been a challenging start and sincerely appreciate the patience, understanding and ongoing support of Thredbo, our competitors, families, schools and the wider snowsports community as we continue to assess conditions and make informed decisions based on the latest available information.

Given this, any further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.

Refunds and State Championships

As the 2026 Travelplan Ski Northern NSW & QLD Interschools Championships will proceed, entry fees will not be refunded in accordance with Rule 1.7.

At this stage, the Northern Interschools Snowsports Advisory Group (NISAG) will not be considering requests for direct invitation to the State Championships.

These items will continue to be monitored and reviewed throughout the delivery of the Regional Championships. Should circumstances change, further updates will be communicated as required.

Event Ticketing

Competitors and Team Managers without a 2026 Thredbo Season Pass can purchase an event lift pass online or in resort.

A designated spectator area will be available at the base of the Friday Flat course, which can be accessed without a lift pass.

Further information regarding access to the Ski Cross and Snowboard Cross courses will be available after Sunday.

A valid day lift pass is required to access the lifts for all night events. Existing day lift tickets will remain valid for night access. Competitors – 5 to 12 age group

The price to purchase a competitor's day lift pass at the resort during the event will be $129.00.

A competitors list will be provided to the Thredbo guest services. Only the names that appear on a competitors list will be eligible for the in resort day lift pass. No changes will be made once the online entry is closed.

Competitors – 13 to 18 age group

The price to purchase a competitor's day lift pass at the resort during the event will be $139.00.

Team Manager Lift Pass

Team Managers who are assigned to teams/individuals via the online entry system prior to the close of entries will be eligible for a discounted day lift pass.

This discounted day lift pass will be available for purchase in resort from either Friday Flat or Valley Terminal Guest services for their event days only.

The 2026 discounted day lift pass for team managers is $139.00.

A team manager list will be provided to the Thredbo guest services. Only the names that appear on the team manager list will be eligible for a discounted team manager day lift pass. No changes will be made once the online entry is closed.

Volunteer Course Officials

Volunteer Course Officials that appear on the event volunteer roster, will receive a free-of-charge day pass on the allocated event day to be collected at the Interschools event office at the Interschools event office at Friday Flat.

Lift ticket collection and volunteer check-in can only be done on the morning you are volunteering, not the day before.

Training and Lessons

Interschools does not provide any training on the event courses prior to the events. If you are looking for training or lessons, these are available through Thredbo Snowsports School. Thredbo has the following training offerings.

Event Office and Competition Bib Collection

Competition bibs are distributed as a whole to the school coordinator or their representative. We cannot distribute individual bibs.

The Event Office at Thredbo is located at Friday Flat. Look out for the flags!

• Monday 6 July – 3.30pm - 6pm
• Tuesday 7 July – 4.30pm to 6pm
• Wednesday 8 July – 7.30 am - 10.30 am & 4.30pm to 6pm
• Thursday 9 July - 7.30 am - 10.30 am & 4.30pm to 6pm
• Friday 10 July - 7.30 am - 10.30 am

The event office will be open for bib collection, volunteer check-in, and general enquires.

Volunteer Course Officials

Volunteer Course Officials that appear on the event volunteer roster, will receive a free-of-charge day pass on the allocated event day to be collected at the Interschools event office.

Lift ticket collection and volunteer check-in can only be done on the day you are volunteering, not the day before, as per the Event Office Opening Times.

If you can no longer attend your volunteer duty due to the change in schedule, please contact to your school coordinator to make a change to replace you.

We still require volunteers for some events. If you can fill a position with an astrix (*) please, please email interschools@snow.org.au.
